It seems like a perfect time for a much over due update of what's going on. As always, we've been busy with music, dogs, writing and lately lumber jacking. Since we heat our homestead with wood, things get a little busy around here preparing for winter so progress on our second album slowed a wee bit but we're back at it now and really in the home stretch. We've consciously worked within the time constraint of 22 minutes per vinyl side since we'll be releasing vinyl again. As always, our music remains 100% composed and performed by real people playing real instruments. No time shifting or auto tune or any other shenanigans. Honest music written with real emotions. On the writing front, Norma Jeanne has been on fire and is about to publish her newest book Dogs Examined. It's the skinny on everything dog related backed by a boat load of research. You think you know a lot about dogs and the dog industry until you read this book. You can pre-order a signed copy now! https://dogtrainingcareers.com/books/ We also published our children's book Doggy Says Let's Be Friends with NJ's sister Margaret Ann Frank who provided all the illustrations. It's an important one to us for a couple reasons. https://dogtrainingcareers.com/product/puppy-says-lets-be-friends/ Greg continues to focus on fiction with the goal of a compilation of shorts stories and poetical works published in 2026. The short stories are very different unto themselves but share an interesting common thread with all revealed in an unique epilogue. The poetry can only be described as whatever spills out of his head but the result so far has been some uncanny synchronicity. https://buymeacoffee.com/gregceciwriter/posts We'll be taking a winter break from playing our songs live to finish the record and launch Dogs Examined but you can see Greg all over the place holding down the bottom end for Belleville's perennial blues band The Stir. NJ will be joining The Stir on vocals in April for a special event and Greg is also hatching a couple other interesting potential ensembles. Our days continue to be spent with Mother Nature in a creative flow with our three beautiful dogs Bubba, Autumn & Jaco. Peace & Love NJ & Greg |
