We like to keep the creative juices flowing so we're constantly writing and composing music. Our book Blueprint To A Happy Dog is now available at Chapters/Indigo and we'll be holding a book signing / free dog behaviour advice shindig on April 26th starting at 11am at Chapters in Belleville, ON. We also released a brand new children's book we developed with NJ's sister Margaret Ann (Muggs) called Puppy Says Let's Be Friends. Muggs also provided all the illustrations for the book.
On the music front, we're super excited as we continue to record our second album featuring many guest artists who have been so gracious as to lend us their considerable talents. Much love. Overall, I would describe the material as more organic yet refined but always eclectic and NJ's voice is aging like a fine wine and she's never sounded better. We're also nearly out of stock of our first album Waiting For The World so we're excited to announce that it's now available for digital download. We do have a few CDs and one vinyl copy left but for now, we won't be producing a second run. Perhaps in the future but for now, onto the new record!!
We've also been working really hard with Dale and Johnny to put together an entirely new, super high octane show with our band Johnny Sweet & The Sticky Street Band. You'll hear generational hits from the 50s to 2000s and well as some surprises that will have you saying, "OMG! I remember that song. I love that song." However, it will remain a high energy extravaganza of a show - but be forewarned that we're focussing our efforts towards private functions/events so "public" appearances will be rare - if you're local jump on them while you can or request us at your favourite spot and tell them to hit us up.
We're also about half a dozen songs into writing for our third album - we like keep the stockpile topped up. We both write everyday and NJ is writing a new puppy training book...release date...whenever she's done! I'm probably done with the dog behaviour books but I'll never say never. I do have the heavy lifting for a book called Canine Synchronicity completed so I might eventually revisit it - who knows but right now my focus is squarely on fiction. So as always, lots of positive creativity going on and love life like a dog.
